Overview

A well-established distribution company is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong mechanical and electrical background. The successful candidate will bring over a decade of experience managing maintenance operations in fast-paced environments with a proven track record in leading technical teams overseeing preventative maintenance and driving equipment reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of artisans and maintenance staff to ensure all equipment and systems operate effectively
• Oversee and perform mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repairs
• Lead and coordinate equipment installations refurbishments and plant upgrades
• Implement preventative maintenance strategies and respond to unplanned breakdowns
• Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues and enhance operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company maintenance standards
• Approve procurement requests manage budgets and maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS
• Recruit develop and evaluate maintenance personnel to maintain team performance and competence

Requirements

• Trade Tested Boilermaker
• Matric
• Strong technical knowledge across a range of industrial machinery and automated systems
• Proficient in CMMS project coordination and root cause analysis
• Excellent planning leadership and problem-solving skills
