We are recruiting for a Maintenance Manager for our client based in Durban South.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description Implement and manage maintenance strategies across 2 manufacturing sitesLead and manage a team of technicians, through site maintenance supervisors2 manufacturing sites, 11 team membersManage technician task load, performance and work qualityCreate and implement team training and upskilling plansPreform maintenance tasks as requiredPreform project tasks as requiredWork together with Operations Managers to ensure manufacturing KPI's are achievedImprove and report on MTTR and MTBFManage and build relationships with sub-contractors, equipment suppliers and service providersStrict stock management of critical sparesManage the control and standards of the workshop equipment and housekeepingImplementation and planning of preventative maintenance schedulesImplement and maintain health and safety proceduresInitiate, cost, and manage critical improvement projects across all operations areasCreate cost savings and efficiency improvement project plans for approvalSubmit and present monthly maintenance and project update reportsManage and accountable to annual repairs and maintenance budget

Desired Experience & Qualification

Experience and QualificationsBachelor's degree -Electro-mech / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering years post qualification experience (preferably in a manufacturing field – FMCG advantageous) years Proven Leadership ExperienceGood understanding of mechanical concepts : Pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps etc.PLC knowledge advantageousExperience in working with multi-discipline teamsMust have good computer skills -MS officePersonal AttributesWillingness to work long hours on Adhoc basisStrong Project management skillsAbility to lead and manage a team with a hands on approach – proven track recordGood communication skills (Verbal and written)Unentrepreneurial & Growth MindsetAbility to multi-task and work under pressureStrong analytical and problem solving abilityBusiness acumen
