Our client is seeking a Maintenance Foreman. The role involves overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring safety compliance, and managing team activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to all breakdowns during or outside of normal working hours.
- Conduct ongoing training with subordinates and hold weekly maintenance and safety meetings.
- Coordinate all planned maintenance work and ensure adherence to OHSACT and company policies.
- Maintain inventory of critical spares to minimize downtime.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and improvement projects to uphold world-class standards.
- Take a practical, hands-on approach to maintenance tasks.
- Incorporate safety into staff training in line with OHSACT.
- Inspect machinery, equipment, and buildings regularly.
- Maintain scheduled maintenance systems and documentation according to ISO9001 standards.
- Record all maintenance activities and maximize machine efficiencies.
- Oversee tool changes, ensuring proper maintenance and availability of tooling and equipment.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled machinery maintenance, including refurbishment.
- Work overtime and standby as required.
- Apply strong mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills.
- Ensure safety in all duties and tasks.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager.
Qualifications
- Qualified Maintenance Electrician and/or Maintenance Millwright with at least 10 years of practical experience.
- Valid driver's license - LDV.

- Proficiency in maintenance tools, equipment, and planning methodologies.
- Experience in ordering spare parts and supplier interaction.
- Ability to motivate and influence team members.
- Flexibility and analytical thinking.
- Attention to detail and excellent attendance record.
- Willingness to go the extra mile.
- Experience with AC/DC drives, basic PLC, and electronics.
- Strong supervisory experience at Foreman level.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
