Minimum Qualifications
  • Level 4: Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) and National Cert level 4 GET Certificate Services
Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience within a materials management or warehouse environment.

  • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults)
Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively controlling all buying functions
  • Liaison with Sibanye Stillwater for account payable enquiries
  • Liaison with internal requestors for supplies to ensure optimum specification/description of explosives
  • Liaison with contracts buyers to ensure standardization
  • Accurately input information onto systems
  • Prepare reports and spreadsheets
  • Implement effective ordering & receiving administration systems according to explosives act.
  • Keep accurate ordering & receiving information records
  • Analyse reports and data for accuracy – receiving
  • Ensure high standard of housekeeping - every 6 months with Inspector
  • Safe data capturing with daily backup
  • Participate in required meetings including safety
  • Accurately complete role administration requirements
  • Effective two-way communications with team members
  • Generating improvement ideas
  • Ensure materials meet minimum safety and technical standards
  • Advises end users of effective items of acceptable quality
  • Liaise with vendors regarding specifications and performance
  • Establish and develop good vendor relationships
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity
  • Assist contract & local buyers with relevant administration
  • Arranging of continuous transport permits and ensure that the documentation thereof are in order and valid
  • Inspection of exposures act and mine safety requirements. (e.g., Magazines, Explosives bays, cars)
  • Accessibility of explosive delivery vehicles to explosives bay
  • The securing of explosives during strikes Stakeholder Relations
  • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross-functionally.
  • Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaising with the necessary entities on any environmental management related requirements and alignment where applicable. Financial Management Cost Savings:
  • Leading and driving cost saving and cash conservation initiatives.
  • Remaining competitive on the global cost curve for surface operations. Building a values-based organisational culture
  • Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment. ESG Compliance

  • Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment.
  • Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. SHE Management:
  • Instil a culture of SHE leadership within the department.
  • Participate in regional/local bodies and decision-making forums in the process developing a business relevant external environment, that will result in the longer-term sustainability of the Division. Quality Management System (QMS):
  • Approve department’s documents.
  • Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System. Focus on safe production & operational excellence
