Introduction

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Litigation Associate to join a respected national law firm with offices in Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Manage and conduct commercial litigation matters across all courts, including High Court and Constitutional Court proceedings.

  • Draft pleadings, heads of argument, affidavits, and correspondence in litigation and dispute resolution matters.

  • Handle administrative law, public law, and constitutional law cases involving government and state entities.

  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients in both the public and private sectors.

  • Engage directly with clients, counsel, and stakeholders, providing practical, high-quality legal solutions.

  • Manage multiple cases under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and strategic focus.

  • Supervise junior associates and contribute to the growth and mentorship of the litigation department.


Desired Experience & Qualification


  • LLB Degree

  • Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa

  • Minimum 5 years post-admission experience in commercial and administrative litigation

  • Proven experience in public law, constitutional law, and dispute resolution

  • Right of appearance in the High Court

  • Strong analytical and drafting skills

  • Excellent communication, client management, and interpersonal abilities
