Team / Role Overview

Responsible for driving the TTS Liquidity Management Services agenda in Sub‑Saharan Africa across a diverse set of presence country balance sheets.

This includes sourcing new liquidity flows, driving liquidity as a key component of cross‑product sales – especially linking to SSA collections agenda; managing liquidity from existing clients with internationally scattered accounts and complex transactional structures; re‑pricing existing clients on managed rates vs. index rates; leading RLAP initiatives for TTS through PS penetration/FI bank offshore flows; leading balance sheet initiatives such as hedge strategy, duration optimisation, NIM modelling, and LP process management.

Additionally, you will serve as the owner and SME of TTS liquidity‑management capabilities, e.g., notional pooling, interest re‑allocation, and related franchise review trainings (regional‑to‑country product sales, and vice‑versa).

What You’ll Do:
  • Define and execute the client solution and engagement strategy.
  • Manage financials for Liquidity Management Services for Sub‑Saharan Africa.
  • Drive the effective distribution of liquidity products to clients through continued enhancement of the value proposition and appropriate positioning.
  • Maximise penetration of client wallet, including delivering against individual client segments and sub‑segments such as corporate industries, public sector, financial institutions, and non‑bank financial institutions.
  • Partner with Client Sales Management and geographies to originate and structure solutions for key/high‑value clients, including direct client interaction on a regular basis.
  • Provide senior client advisory and solutioning support, helping clients structure the appropriate liquidity solution and bring best practices and Citi's market experience to the table.
  • Inform and respond to market and regulatory change to drive product innovation and client positioning.
  • Represent Citi at internal and external forums to promote thought leadership and encourage active industry engagement.
  • Design and execute direct initiatives to meet revenue and balance‑sheet goals, and work with senior sales representatives to manage pipeline and identify new revenue strategies.
  • Lead innovation, digitisation, marketing, and communication efforts for LMS.
  • Define and deliver the Liquidity and Investments marketing and communication strategy, including client events, webinars, press releases, and contributions to internal and external publications.
  • Maintain core client collateral (e.g., slip‑sheets, pitch books, proposal content, regulatory guides) for maximum impact and deploy tailored content.
  • Commercialise new product launches for client impact and flow of new business.
  • Ensure compliance of Liquidity and Investments products and services with local and US law and regulations, and Citi policies.
  • Follow Citi requirements for new product development.
  • Ensure proper controls are included into MCA for Liquidity and Investments products.
  • Perform the assessment of MCA results.
What We Need From You:
  • Years of relevant cash‑management, liquidity‑management experience.
  • Team management expertise is preferred.
  • Experience managing in a global and matrixed environment, including direct and indirect reports across risk, finance, treasury, operations.
  • In‑depth knowledge of industry and competitor products and services.
  • Certification may be required for the final candidate.
