Overview

Legal Advisor Specialist. We are currently recruiting for a Legal Advisor Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. This role is responsible for providing advanced or specialist legal support. It also partakes in actions related to commercial lease agreements, legal risk management, and compliance control. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts over periods of up to 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced or specialist legal support.
• Provides assistance with contractual documents, especially commercial agreements of lease.
• Assists in litigation if required.
• Provides legal opinions/comments on legislation if required.
• Assists with projects to ensure legal compliance.
• Contributes to the appropriate management of legal risk within area of responsibility e.g. identifying legal risks.
• Facilitates mitigating potential risk situations.

Minimum Requirements

• Admitted attorney / advocate with commercial legal experience.
• Four years minimum post admission legal experience.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience as legal advisor in a property management / occupier service / national retailer company.
• Commercial legal experience.
• Matriculation Certificate (Required).
• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Required).
• Admitted Attorney (Required).
