Knitting Machine Programmer / Knitwear Technician – Fashioned Knitwear

We are currently looking for an experienced Knitting Machine Programmer / Knitwear Technician based in South Africa to join our team on site in Paarl, Western Cape.

This role is suited to someone with strong fashioning experience and a proven track record working on fully fashioned knitwear garments. We are open to either an on-site role or a freelance arrangement (paid per sample, with strict ETA reliability).

Key requirements:

• Proven experience as a knitting machine programmer
• Fully fashioned programming and grading on Stoll knitting machines
• Strong working knowledge of M1Plus
• Ability to programme, load, and monitor production while maintaining quality and sizing standards
• Solid understanding of knitwear construction and garment shaping
• Experience with trims execution
• Knowledge of machine breakdowns and basic repair
• Understanding of natural fibres, shrinkage, and washing processes
• Ability to work closely with pattern makers, designers, merchandisers, sales teams, and the factory floor
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Reliable, detail-focused, and a good team fit
