A Civil Construction company specializing in paving, roads, low bridges, private works and civil construction seeks a Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor (Worcester/Bonnievale/Citrusdal/Ceres/Montague regions)

R28 000 - R45 000 pm

  • Proven track record of completed civil projects
  • Knowledge of construction methods (SANS 1200)
  • Proficient in civil survey skills (dumpy, laser, total station, GPS)
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Valid drivers license (Code EB or higher)
  • Perform land and construction site surveys, including topographical, boundary, and as-built surveys.
  • Set out construction projects, ensuring alignment and levels meet project specifications.
  • Accurately measure and record data for analysis and project planning.
  • Utilize and maintain surveying equipment, such as total stations, GPS systems, and levels.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure survey results align with project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed reports, maps, and documentation for stakeholders.
  • Ensure all surveying activities adhere to safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in field measurements and project designs.
  • Diploma or Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering.
  • Proven experience as a Civil Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in using surveying instruments and software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Leica or Trimble systems.
  • Strong mathematical and technical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to construction sites as required.
  • Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Registration with a recognized professional body (e.g., SAGC or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of local construction codes and regulations.
  • Experience in roadworks, earthworks, and large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
