Minimum Requirements
  • National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Additional certifications in logistics or warehousing (advantageous).
  • 13 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse environment.
  • FMCG experience is highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ERP / WMS / TMS systems.
  • Strong understanding of logistics processes (transport, distribution, warehousing).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure FMCG environment.
  • Good planning, organising, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and coordinating daily inbound and outbound logistics operations.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely dispatch of products.
  • Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams on logistics requirements.
  • Track and resolve delivery issues, delays, or shortages.
  • Support warehouse supervisors with stock accuracy, cycle counts, and stock rotation.
  • Ensure FEFO / FIFO principles are followed across all FMCG stock.
  • Monitor warehouse layout, space utilization, and material handling efficiency.
  • Assist with stock investigations, variances, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate vehicle bookings, route planning, and load optimisation.
  • Monitor fleet utilisation and driver performance.
  • Ensure transport documents are complete and compliant.
  • Support cost control and efficient transport planning.
  • Prepare daily / weekly / monthly logistics reports (stock levels, dispatch, transport costs, KPIs).
  • Maintain accurate logistics records and documentation.
  • Assist with logistics system updates (ERP / WMS / TMS).
  • Ensure compliance with FMCG safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Adhere to SHEQ policies and warehouse / transport regulations.
  • Participate in audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives for warehousing and transport.
  • Assist in implementing new systems or processes to enhance logistics performance.
