Junior Financial Accountant Role

As a Junior Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting operational efficiency, highlighting areas of cost improvement initiatives, and enabling client delivery through robust financial reporting, insight generation, and improved process design.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for tasks, processes or entities in the area of Financial Reporting which includes solving problems and response to ad hoc queries for assigned areas.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external client-facing teams to provide financial insight for operational restructuring and transformation programmes.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
  • Support change initiatives with financial insights, helping to shape cost optimisation and workforce planning programmes.
  • Work collaboratively to drive ideas/solutions with peers and managers which will improve Client and PwC's efficiency.
  • Developing close relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Managing your own workload, including reporting on progress and issues.
  • Developing the ability to be agile and support a range of client/projects.
  • Be able to implement and adapt to new or changing processes quickly.
  • Proactively build relationships with all team members within PwC including engagement with client teams as well as customers of our clients.
Requirements to be met

As a Junior Financial Accountant of SATIC, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • 1 - 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Desirable: Certification or formal training in financial modelling, data analytics, or business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with basic financial reporting and cost tracking.
  • Exposure to working across teams or supporting process improvement is beneficial but not essential.
Skills required
  • Strong data analytics capability - ability to interpret large volumes of financial data to generate meaningful insights.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI and Alteryx for dashboarding, automation, and reporting.
  • Understanding of cost transformation levers such as procurement optimisation and workforce efficiency.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a high-paced and ambiguous environment.
