In this IP Operations Manager Position

• Liaising with External Stakeholders:

  • Sales (BDM’s) & Customer Service (KAM’s)
  • Regional Management E Cape & KZN
  • Country Management PM/RO/IT for functions and support
• Ensure IP compliance with Industry and Internal DGF policies and standards
• Participating in customer solutions development and implementation of new accounts.
• Ensure IP is optimally resourced to meet service standards.
• Visit customers to maintain customer relationships, research customer needs and monitor customer satisfaction.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and manage supplier performance.
• Monitor the IP, customer and shipment profitability.
• Oversee and assist with estimates and RFQs/tenders.
• Ensure timely processing of invoices in line with DGF financial controls
• Ensure continuous improvement by implementing First Choice, Station Improvements and adherence to quality policies.
• Produce weekly, monthly reports and other ad-hoc reports as may be required by management.
• Develop a high performance service culture within the functional department.
• Plan, organize and direct and efficient and effective functional department.
• Develop KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.
• Consult performance appraisal.
• Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.
• Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department Procurement and Vendor Management
• Lead the procurement of goods and services and transportation capacities in order to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business / function in scope.
• Cooperate with the DGF ZA procurement specialist to ensure compliance with all required procurement policies and processes.
• Ensure that appropriate supplier evaluations have been planned, performed and documented in accordance with ISO and relevant SOPs.
• Ensure all suppliers for the department have the required valid certificates and licences in place.
