An Inventory Controller is responsible for managing, tracking, and optimising a company's stock levels to ensure efficient supply chain operations. They maintain accurate inventory records, oversee stock movements, and coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to prevent shortages or overstocking. The role involves monitoring inventory data, conducting regular audits, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily store operations, including receiving, issuing, and stock control
  • Ensure accurate capturing of transactions in Syspro and timely reconciliation of variances
  • Maintain compliance with MHSA requirements, safety standards, and company procedures
  • Lead and mentor store personnel, ensuring adherence to performance standards
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and finance teams to support operational requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement in store efficiency, accuracy, and housekeeping
Qualifications
  • Matric / Standard 10
  • Advanced diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration (preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in a store, warehouse, or inventory control environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Excellent working knowledge of inventory management software, with specific experience in Syspro
  • Sound understanding of inventory management practices such as ABC analysis, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Clear Criminal Record
