The Sales Consultant is responsible for converting qualified leads into successful sales through effective communication, product knowledge, and relationship management.
This role focuses on conducting client consultations, generating accurate quotes, and delivering exceptional customer service to achieve individual and team sales targets.
Salary: R12 000 per month plus commission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Conversion
- Conduct sales calls to potential clients from leads provided by the bond origination business.
- Present and explain suitable insurance product options, tailoring solutions to client needs.
- Generate and manage quotes, follow up, and convert leads into confirmed sales.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with clients.
- Manage client queries promptly and professionally, ensuring a seamless service experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and sales information on the CRM system.
- Sales Performance
- Consistently meet or exceed individual sales targets in a high-volume, target-driven environment.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager and colleagues to achieve broader sales objectives.
- Compliance
- Ensure all sales activities comply with FSCA and FAIS regulations, as well as internal company policies.
- Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory updates, and product developments.
Role Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) – essential.
- RE5 qualification – essential.
- NQF Level 4 or 5 qualification in Insurance, Banking, or Wealth Management – essential.
- CPD compliance – mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year long-term and short-term insurance sales experience within a call centre environment.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a high-volume, target-driven sales role.
- Experience within the insurance or financial services industry is preferred.
