The Infrastructure Support Engineer is responsible to monitor enterprise systems and infrastructure to ensure system uptime.
This position will be based in our Rosslyn and Jet Park distribution centers.
Provide 2nd line infrastructure support and participate in the incident, problem, change, request and event management processes.
Support enterprise systems and infrastructure to ensure system availability.
Produce reporting in a timely manner and aligned to the agreed communications plan for relevant stakeholders. Contribute to a continuous improvement plan and initiatives to support collaboration within the organisation.
Effectively manage and develop self to deliver on agreed individual and team objectives.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Infrastructure Support Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of server administration, virtualization, and networking principles.
Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, or Unix.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Familiarity with network protocols, firewall configurations, and security best practices.
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are advantageous.
Maintaining and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and associated hardware.
Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous business operations.
Performing system administration tasks, including user management, system monitoring, and security configurations.
Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Working closely with cross‑functional teams, including IT, development, and security, to address infrastructure‑related requirements and projects.
Identifying and implementing opportunities for performance optimization and system enhancements.
Applying patches and updates to servers and systems in a timely and organized manner.
Providing on‑call support and responding to infrastructure‑related emergencies as needed.
