About the Role

This internship will provide hands‑on experience in various aspects of cybersecurity, with a focus on Data Privacy Operations (DPO), Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Security Awareness Program Management. The intern will work closely with each of these teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Data Privacy Operations (25%): Assist with the ongoing operation management of our privacy program, use cutting‑edge data privacy technologies, and aid in data privacy education and training for CSG employees.
• Governance Risk and Compliance (25%): Communicate, elevate, and track progress on risk assessments and remediation activities; assist in audit and compliance tasks including PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, SOC 2 Type II, and HITRUST; perform due diligence reviews on third‑parties.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) (25%): Support IAM operational and governance activities; manage user lifecycle processes, access reviews, and role‑based access models; help with documentation, data analysis, and process improvement; develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to analyze IAM and security metrics.
• Security Awareness Program Management (25%): Plan, execute, and measure security awareness initiatives, including training campaigns and employee communications; support reporting metrics, content updates, and coordination with internal stakeholders to improve employee security posture.

Qualifications

• A strong interest in cybersecurity and a desire to learn about privacy, risk management, and security best practices.
• Excellent time management, decision‑making, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• An ability to support multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 applications.
• An ability to establish strong relationships with internal customers in a remote work environment.

Experience & Requirements

You will be part of the 2026 Graduate Programme, which runs for 12 months.

• South African Citizen.
• Academic Record (Completed Academic Studies).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in English in a business environment.
