HR Consultant – Employer of Record (EOR)

EOR In Africa is looking for a highly organised, proactive, and people‑oriented HR Consultant to manage all HR‑related matters for employees hired through our Employer of Record (EOR) services across Africa. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing HR operations role focused on Employer of Record services across Africa.

This role acts as the primary HR point of contact for EOR employees and supports international clients by delivering consistent, compliant, and high‑quality HR services across multiple African jurisdictions. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the full employee lifecycle, ensure compliance with local labour laws, and maintain excellent client and employee relationships.

This is a fast‑paced industry, and you would need to hit the ground running from day 1.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Self‑motivated, tenacious, and resilient, with strong problem‑solving and influencing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across multiple platforms
Key Responsibilities
1. EOR Onboarding & Implementation
  • Lead HR onboarding of new clients into the EOR model in collaboration with the Business Development Manager
  • Explain HR procedures, employment structures, and country‑specific compliance requirements
  • Guide new employees through onboarding, including contract signing, documentation, and induction support
  • Coordinate with internal Finance and Legal teams, as well as local partners, to ensure timely and accurate onboarding
  • Prepare, manage, and maintain employment contracts and HR documentation
  • Capture and manage employee data (ID, tax, banking, and statutory documentation)
2. Employee Lifecycle Management
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for all EOR employees
  • Manage onboarding and off‑boarding processes in line with local labour laws and client requirements
  • Handle day‑to‑day HR administration
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date HR records for all EOR employees
3. Client & Employee Relationship Management
  • Act as the HR liaison between clients and their EOR employees
  • Provide ongoing HR support to clients, including: monthly HR updates, labour law changes, performance management check‑ins, employee engagement and HR issue reporting
  • Manage employee queries, concerns, and escalations professionally and time‑tly
  • Ensure all HR actions align with client expectations and legal obligations
4. Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure all employment processes comply with country‑specific labour laws and EOR service standards
  • Work closely with Legal and Finance teams to remain updated on employment legislation across Africa
  • Coordinate with local partners and in‑country providers where required
  • Maintain and update compliance checklists for each country of operation
5. HR Process & Service Delivery
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Legal, and Finance teams on ongoing HR service delivery
  • Implement and continuously improve HR processes and SOPs for EOR operations
  • Ensure alignment between client‑specific HR practices and local legal frameworks
  • Track and verify timesheets, leave records, and overtime submissions
  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll processing
  • Maintain HR dashboards and generate reports on headcount, leave, and contract status
  • Support performance management, grievances, and disciplinary processes in coordination with client HR and legal teams
Candidate profile
  • Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong process, time‑management, and prioritisation skills in a fast‑changing environment
  • Ability to build rapport with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of delivery
