What you´ll do
- Provide Human Resources services targeted towards attracting, recruiting and retaining top talents to support Henkel‘s business strategies in South Africa.
- Responsible for provision of an exceptional and engaging work experience in a safe and conducive environment that will challenge employees to perform at their optimum.
Key Tasks:
- Develops and executes local HR strategies in alignment with regional and corporate objectives
- Acts as the primary liaison for all HR matters at the local level, providing strategic guidance and practical solutions to stakeholders
- Coordinates and oversees HR processes to ensure alignment with regional and global standards
- Reviews local market conditions and provides insights to support decision-making for HR initiatives
- Drives employee engagement and fosters a positive employee experience within the country
- Ensures compliance with local labor laws and regulations while maintaining alignment with company policies
- Utilizes HR analytics to identify key trends and drivers, guiding business leaders in informed decision-making
- Cultivates positive relationships with external stakeholders and represents the company in industrial relations and with trade unions
- Offers direct support and guidance to managers, enabling the achievement of business objectives and fostering their professional growth
- Collaborates with regional and global HR teams to drive cultural transformation initiatives and align business goals with HR strategies
- Leads and nurtures the country HR team to effectively implement HR practices and processes
- Champions team development and succession planning initiatives within the local HR team
What makes you a good fit
- Excellent influencing and convincing capabilities as well as analytical and conceptual skills
- English skills are indispensable as well as firm experience in working with Microsoft office programs, especially Excel and Power Point
- Swahili or African language skills as well as SAP/Workday experience are appreciated
- Team player, open minded, flexible, pro-active and able to work independently also in a changing and volatile environment
- Excellent communication skills
