Overview

Location: Berlin

Primary Purpose of the Role: The HR Business Partner will support management by driving key people practices, including personnel administration, manpower planning, recruitment, industrial relations, performance management, training and development, succession planning, and employee wellness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate personnel administration processes.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding, induction, and exit interviews.
  • Manage performance appraisal processes.
  • Handle IR matters, including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Administer death and disability processes.
  • Assess and facilitate training aligned with company needs.
  • Lead HR-related projects and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
  • Conduct HR-related audits and provide actionable feedback to management.
  • Implement benchmarking and best practice initiatives.
Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Strong knowledge of labour legislation: BCEA, EE, BBBEE, LRA, and Skills Development.
  • Recruitment and selection expertise.
  • Performance management processes.
  • Experience conducting disciplinary and grievance hearings, and handling CCMA/DRC referrals.
  • Training and development (needs analysis, planning, facilitation, and implementation).
  • Succession planning.
  • Proficiency in HR management software (Sage 300).
  • Strong focus on employee wellness.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counselling skills.
  • Skilled in report and proposal writing.
  • Advanced computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Strong presentation, administrative, team building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective negotiation and time management abilities.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management (preferred).
  • Advanced MS Office proficiency.
  • Proficiency in Sage HR modules: People 300, Job Profile, Personnel Management, Employment Equity, and Performance Management.
  • Minimum 5 years’ HR experience.
