Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving commercial success? AltGen is seeking a Head of Strategy to lead our commercial initiatives across multiple brands, including AltGen SA, AltGen UK, AltGen Namibia, AltGen Botswana, and AltGen Employment Services.

About the Role

This is not a marketing role focused solely on content creation; it’s a commercial leadership position that plays a pivotal role in generating new business and ensuring the success of our brands. You will provide a holistic view of key activities, enabling us to pull the right levers to trigger buying decisions and drive conversions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a marketing team of 3–4 professionals, including a Content Creator, IT Officer, and Data Intelligence Analyst. Ensure team cohesion, structure, and performance against KPIs.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Oversee BI dashboards and analytics to improve sales cycles, retention, and cost savings. Conduct salary surveys, skills gap analyses, and Africa-wide energy and agri-project mapping.
  • Digital Strategy: Manage LinkedIn profiles and campaigns, Google Ads, SEO, and website performance. Drive engagement through targeted content and paid advertising.
  • Reporting & Bids: Compile competitive bids and tenders with the commercial team, ensuring compelling business cases.
  • Corporate Social Investment (CSI): Develop and manage CSI projects, integrating them into digital campaigns.
  • Technology Adoption: Champion the use of AI and workflow optimisation tools to enhance business processes.
