Overview
Operational Leadership – Lead and manage all manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing Operations – Oversee machine shop activities including CNC machining, laser cutting, and precision fabrication; implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Team & People Management – Direct, mentor, and manage a team of supervisors, operators, and technicians in a 24/7 operational environment; establish performance targets, training programs, and succession planning.
- Quality & Compliance – Oversee quality control systems to ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer specifications; monitor production processes and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Maintenance & Asset Management – Plan and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment; oversee procurement, calibration, and maintenance of tools, machines, and equipment.
- Procurement & Supply Chain – Manage material procurement to ensure availability of raw materials and consumables; collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality compliance.
- Strategic & Financial Management – Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, including cost control, labor planning, and capital expenditures; provide strategic input into capacity planning, technology upgrades, and long-term operational improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 8–12+ years progressive experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in machine shop operations (CNC machining, laser cutting, fabrication).
