About the Role
The Head of Finance will take full responsibility for financial leadership across the business. This includes managing a small team, overseeing financial operations, improving processes, and supporting the executive team with strategic insights. You'll play a major part in refining systems, driving discipline across the organisation, and creating a finance function that can scale confidently.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Oversee end-to-end finance operations, including reporting, budgeting, compliance, and cash flow.
- Provide accurate monthly management accounts, financial insights, and board-level reporting.
- Partner with executives on strategic planning, scenario modelling, and performance tracking.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and grow the finance team.
- Build a culture of accountability, clarity, and continuous development.
- Strengthen administrative and operational capabilities across the department.
Financial Operations & Controls
- Ensure strong financial governance, internal controls, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Improve systems, processes, and reporting frameworks to support growth.
- Oversee reconciliations, financial schedules, treasury, and statutory submissions.
Business Growth & Operational Support
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure financial and commercial alignment.
- Support business development activities, new product launches, and group expansion initiatives.
- Drive efficiency, cost control, and disciplined financial management.
Requirements
- CIMA (ACMA/CGMA) qualification required.
- 8+ years of experience in Finance, ideally within financial services, investments, asset management, lending, or related sectors.
- Proven experience leading finance teams.
- Strong operational and administrative capability - organised, detail-driven, and steady under pressure.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, reporting, cash flow, compliance, and governance.
- Experience improving processes and building scalable finance functions.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
