Job summary

A major South African bank is seeking a Head of Insights & Analytics to enhance Money Management & Advisory services. The candidate will provide in-depth analytics capabilities, develop KPIs, translate data for business use, and drive financial wellness initiatives. An extensive background in analytics, especially within a financial institution, is essential, along with a degree in Business Commerce. This role offers a chance to influence major strategic data projects and client understanding.

Head, Insights & Analytics - Money Management & AdvisoryJob OverviewBusiness Segment : Personal & Private BankingLocation : ZA, GP, Johannesburg, 30 Baker StreetTo provide an end-to-end analytics capability for Money Management & Advisory within Personal and Private Banking South Africa (PPB SA).

Own and manage Money Management data and modelling, including Money Management (MM) client-level metrics.Explore, develop, and integrate data assets across the Group to provide a first-of-its-kind, -degree view on the client, in order to provide deep behavioural and financial understanding of clients.Assist in developing, integrating, and tracking key strategic Money Management and Advisory KPIs at both business and client levels.Formulate and test use cases to trial specific interventions across the client segment continuum to drive specific behaviour, engagement, etc.Serve as the Money Management data SME, providing deep behavioural and financial data understanding of clients.Generate internal and external insights to inform segment and product development, as well as customer value propositions.Easily translate business requests and objectives into data requirements, including building models or extracting specific data sets.Provide data input on the impact of proposed legislation and assist in preparing the necessary business cases.Drive mindset changes to promote financial wellness as a key business driver.Collaborate with and leverage existing data capabilities across the business where relevant.QualificationsType of Qualification : First DegreeField of Study : Business CommerceExperience RequiredPersonal and Private BankingMore than 10 yearsExperience in a discovery, analytics and customer intelligence role within a financial institution.
