Job summary

A premier leisure and lifestyle destination in George is seeking a Junior Handyman for their Maintenance department. The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 qualification and 1-2 years of experience, plus reliable transport. Our Maintenance department is now accepting applications for a Handyman: Maintenance (Junior) – someone with drive and passion for the industry, with the ability to keep up with the high pace, and a sincere commitment to exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall maintenance
• Provide preventive and repair maintenance
• Minor carpentry and plumbing projects
• Configure and move furniture
• Replace lightbulbs and paint
• Assist the maintenance team as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The position requires a minimum qualification of Grade 12 or equivalent and 1‑2 years’ experience in a similar role. The successful candidate must have reliable transport. Experience within a 4/5 environment will be advantageous.

Ideal candidates will be creative, have a keen eye for detail, be energetic and work well in a team.

We are looking for candidates who have their own accommodation in George/surrounds, who are prepared to work weekends, public holidays and shifts, and who are fit and able to carry out the normal responsibilities attached to this role.
