Requirements
- Finance / Investment / Financial Management Degree (Honours/Postgrad preferred)
- Excellent academic track record
- Strong understanding of financial principles
- 1-3 years' experience as a Bookkeeper, Junior Accountant, Accounts Clerk, or Financial Administrator. Experience should involve: Reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, managing ledgers, or assisting with budgeting and financial statements.
- Candidates must be willing to work toward Regulatory Exam (RE5) and FAIS accreditation.
- Strong sales potential
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in explaining financial concepts.
- Client service orientation and professional demeanor.

Job description
1. Client Engagement and Prospecting
- Identify and approach potential clients through networking, referrals, and cold calling.
- Conduct initial client meetings to understand financial needs, goals, and current financial status.
2. Financial Needs Analysis
- Assist in gathering and analyzing financial data such as income, expenses, assets and liabilities.
- Participate in preparing comprehensive financial needs analyses and planning reports.
3. Product Knowledge and Training
- Learn about various financial products (e.g., retirement annuities and investment products).
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws, financial regulations, and the economic environment relevant to financial planning.
4. Compliance and Regulation
- Understand and adhere to Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) Act requirements.
- Complete necessary training modules and work toward obtaining RE5 (Regulatory Exam) and full FAIS accreditation.
5. Sales Support and Administration
- Support senior financial advisors with administrative tasks like application processing, documentation, and client follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and financial plans.
6. Learning and Development
- Attend sessions as part of structured training programs.
- Shadow experienced advisors to understand best practices in client servicing and financial planning.
7. Building Long-term Client Relationships
- Begin building and managing a small portfolio under supervision.
- Learn to provide continuous support to clients and adjust plans as their life circumstances change.
