We are currently looking for a General operator/Solder hand who has previous experience in the Electrical industry.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum: Grade 12 / Matric (with Mathematics & Science advantageous).
  • Preferred: Certificate/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in hand soldering and electronic component assembly (1–2 years).
  • IPC certification (e.g., IPC-A-610) is advantageous.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of soldering techniques and handling small electrical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Quality-conscious with the ability to spot defects.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Basic problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hand soldering of electrical and electronic components onto PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) and wiring assemblies.
  • Assemble electrical components, sub-assemblies, and finished products according to technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Inspect and test soldered joints for quality, strength, and compliance with IPC standards (if applicable).
  • Identify and report defective components or assembly issues to the supervisor.
  • Operate basic assembly tools and equipment safely (soldering irons, heat guns, crimping tools, etc.).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations according to 5S principles.
  • Follow production schedules, targets, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) requirements.
  • Support general production duties such as packing, labelling, and material handling when required.
