An opportunity to lead and scale a high‑performing renewable‑energy business in South Africa.

We're seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the full operational and financial performance of the South African business.

This role covers engineering, project execution, maintenance, asset management, HR, procurement, and fleet management.

The ideal candidate is a commercially astute, technically minded leader with a proven record in driving operational excellence, profitability, and team performance within the renewable‑energy, EPC, or infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary operational teams to achieve performance and profitability targets.
• Translate strategic objectives into executable operational and financial plans.
• Oversee budgets, cost control, CapEx, and full P&L delivery.
• Drive project execution, ensuring installations are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Oversee maintenance and asset‑management functions to maximise uptime and portfolio performance.
• Ensure compliance with OHSA, NERSA, and governance frameworks.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety across the business.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
• 8–10 years' experience in operations, project, or general management within renewable energy, EPC, or heavy‑industry sectors.
• Proven track record managing P&L and driving sustainable business growth.
• Strong financial, technical, and commercial acumen.
• Experience managing cross‑functional teams and multi‑site operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
