What's the role?

Experienced Professional with 5 - 10 years of hands-on experience in Direct Tax, International Tax, and Transfer Pricing. This role will be responsible for building robust transfer pricing documentations, handling post signing compliances, and transfer pricing advisory services for the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transfer pricing laws, regulations, guidelines and policies, and will be able to manage a variety of transfer pricing related projects.

The FTP month-end process :

• On a monthly basis all assets and liabilities in the ZAR banking book are transfer priced, account level data is imported into Moody’s and every account is assigned the various FTP components based on the appropriate data attributes and the predefined FTP rules.
• Every account is tagged with a business unit and product line indicator and the results are aggregated to the business unit product line level and reported in the ledger (SAP BPC).

Deliverables :

• We require a senior resource to assist with the implementation in the system and to do deal level comparison of the results to our current system (Sendero), detailing the reasons for differences by referencing the predefined FTP rules and the system configuration.

Skills required :

• Python skills required given size of datasets (current comparisons done in Python).
• If not Python, then SQL skills will be considered

Requirements

Mandatory Skills :

• Hands on experience delivering IT projects in Banking & Financial services domain
• Deep understanding of Lending & Mortgage data and applications used in the domain
• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
• Strong communication and presentation skill
• Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies as per the project and program needs
• Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), MS Project, MS Server

Nice-to-Have Skills :

• Knowledge or understanding of product design tools
• Exposure to other banking domains like Payments, Capital Markets will be useful
• Exposure to product owner role will be a huge advantage
• Exposure to Azure cloud services
