Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting information about properties (lead generation).
  • Canvassing properties to sell.
  • Arranging for photography and home staging.
  • Deal with sellers and be able to talk knowledgeably about their property and area.
  • Valuation – able to apply sound principles when estimating the value of a property.
  • Organise and attend show days.
  • Able to put together a marketing plan for a property.
  • Represent the seller in negotiations with potential buyers.
  • Monitor sales and liaise with all stakeholders including mortgage brokers, currency brokers, conveyancers and other estate agents.
  • Able to knowledgeably advise sellers and buyers.
  • Keeping up to date with trends in the local residential property market as well as the general market.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role.
  • Must be able to negotiate and close deals.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Must be comfortable picking up the phone and speaking to people.
  • Must be computer literate and have a sound understanding of MS Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Must understand that pressure and setbacks are part of the real estate industry.
  • Energetic, self‑motivated, sales‑driven, people‑person.
  • Valid Fidelity Fund Certificate and up to date with CPD and PDE requirements.
  • Valid driver's licence and their own reliable vehicle.
  • Fully functioning laptop with up‑to‑date software.
  • Fully functioning smart phone.
  • Live in the Blouberg & surrounding areas.
  • Be able to sustain yourself financially for at least 6 months before you start earning commission.
