Fruit Buyer (Grapes / Citrus) required in Bellville.

We are seeking a Fruit Buyer with previous experience in the Fruit Industry, who is an expert in grapes, citrus or deciduous to join a growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase high-quality grapes, citrus, and deciduous fruits from trusted growers across South Africa
• Build and nurture supplier relationships with farmers, packhouses, and distributors
• Negotiate competitive pricing, maintaining quality standards
• Stay on top of market trends, availability, pricing, and export regulations
• Prepare reports, presentations, and business updates for internal stakeholders
• Coordinate supply chain processes—from farm audits and quality control to delivery and cold storage
• Implement seasonal procurement programs and maintain optimal inventory levels
• Resolve supplier claims and ensure best settlements for clients

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of fruit buying experience (grapes preferred)
• Strong knowledge of export protocols and international trade compliance
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Sharp understanding of seasonality and quality standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific online portals
• Matric required; relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous
