We are looking for a self-motivated individual with proven experience and knowledge in operating a Reach Truck, Pallet Truck or Bendi to move merchandise and materials around the warehouse. Key Responsibilities

• Operate the lifting equipment to move stock around the warehouse.
• Operate the equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of any trucks, trailers and / or containers.
• Ensure that all materials moved is stored / stacked in the appropriate manner as prescribed in our SOPs.
• Daily inspection of equipment and perform minor preventative maintenance.
• Taking ownership of the assigned equipment to ensure that it is maintained and used in an appropriate manner.
• Manually load or unload stock on pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices.
• Ensure equipment is returned to the designated location.
• When not operating the lifting equipment you may be assigned to any other distribution duties as required by the supervisor or manager.
• Oversee the export cage.
• Attend to the reject spurs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric or equivalent qualification would be advantageous
• Ideally a valid / appropriate material moving equipment license.
• Proven track record in successfully operating a forklift in an around a DC.
• Extensive experience in operating Reach truck at 13,5m heights (Traceable references)
