Job summary

A leading security services provider in Gauteng is seeking a Fleet Assistant for their Benoni Branch. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Fleet Manager and assist in managing the fleet. Key requirements include a Matric certificate, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. This is a full-time role, and preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged Candidates.

Qualifications

  • Matric certificate or equivalent is required.
  • Must have a clear criminal record.
  • Experience in administration is essential.
  • Ability to work extended hours if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with administrative responsibilities in the Fleet Department.
  • Maintain a filing system and document management.
  • Provide administrative support to the Fleet Manager.
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Oversee and manage maintenance of company vehicles.

Skills

FLEET ASSISTANT

Direct report : Fleet Manager

The above position is vacant at our Benoni Branch. The overall purpose of this position is to assist with administrative responsibilities of the Fleet Department and assisting with the control of the fleet on the branches.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • A clear criminal record
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
  • At least 2 years administration experience
  • Background as a fleet assistant is an advantage
  • Ability to work extended hours when needed
  • Ability to work without supervision under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Key Performance Areas (not totally inclusive) :

  • Maintaining a filling system and document management including archiving
  • Provide administrative support to the Fleet Manager and Branch Manager
  • Maintain daily / weekly / monthly reports
  • Manage Capex and Asset requirements
  • Assisting with overseeing controlling and managing maintenance of company vehicle
  • Ensure that accidents are properly investigated and appropriate action is taken and ensure that all accident documents are completed and sent to Head Office within the required time frames
  • Receiving quotations issuing orders and forwarding invoices to Head Office ensuring that the necessary authorisation is obtained; follow up and ensure payments are made by Creditors department
  • Assisting with general office enquiries and administrative tasks
