Job summary

A leading testing, inspection, and certification company in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine analytical techniques and ensure quality management compliance. The role involves following detailed instructions, maintaining stock levels, and investigating irregularities within the Fire Assay process. Candidates should have a Matric certificate and preferably experience in a Fire Assay laboratory.

Qualifications

• Experience in Fire Assay laboratory will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Laboratory Quality Management system will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical techniques according to established laboratory procedures.
• Assist in the investigation of irregularities/non-conformances.
• Ensure customer requirements are achieved regarding turnaround time.
• Assist in the maintenance of laboratory instruments.

Skills

Ability to strictly follow and understand instructions

Fluent communication in English

Knowledge of Laboratory Quality Management system

Matric literacy and numeracy skills
