A leading financial services company in Paarl is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Manager to oversee and manage all financial operations. The ideal candidate holds a degree has at least 5 years experience and is proficient in budgeting reporting compliance and team leadership within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts reconciliations and reporting
• Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports and statements
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure statutory compliance (e.g. SARS VAT PAYE) and support external audits
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and risk management practices
• Provide financial insights to support business decision‑making
• Lead and mentor the finance team
• Manage cash flow banking relationships and funding requirements
• Collaborate with executive team on strategic financial planning
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (essential)
• 5 years relevant experience ideally within the financial services sector
• Strong understanding of South African financial regulations, tax laws and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, Pastel) and MS Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred

• Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. Honours, CIMA or SAIPA / SAICA articles)
• Experience with financial modelling and scenario analysis
• Knowledge of FAIS, FICA and other relevant financial services regulations
