About the Role:

Our client is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Financial Manager to lead financial operations and support long-term growth. This pivotal role is focused on driving strategic financial planning and ensuring alignment between financial performance and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day financial operations.

  • Lead strategic financial planning and forecasting efforts.

  • Develop and maintain robust financial models.

  • Ensure alignment of financial outcomes with the client's overall business strategy.

  • Deliver actionable insights that support executive decision-making.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Hold a BCom/BCom Honours degree (preferred) or an equivalent qualification.

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the short-term insurance sector.

  • Possess strong knowledge of insurance finance, including underwriting, claims, reserving, and capital.

  • Demonstrate advanced expertise in budgeting and strategic financial planning.

  • Are well-versed in IFRS 17 and other key financial reporting standards.

  • Understand tax, treasury, reinsurance, and investment finance operations.

  • Excel in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.

  • Are multilingual (an advantage).

  • Have a valid drivers license and reliable transport.
