A dynamic and growth-focused organisation is seeking a Finance Manager to join its team for the Southern African region and will be based in Cape Town.
The Finance Manager will play a key role in delivering accurate, complete, and timely financial information across a group of companies, while providing strategic financial guidance to support decision-making. The scope includes oversight of multiple entities, including holding, development, and project companies.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager will lead the Finance team, which consists of Financial Accountants and Finance Administrators and Controllers.
The ideal candidate will hold a CA(SA) designation, or a relevant Professional Qualification, and possess at least 8 years of experience in a similar role. Strong financial reporting and management experience, as well as familiarity with ERP systems is required.

Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee financial operations and ensure timely, reliable reporting across all entities.
- Supervise key functions including cash management, payables, receivables, payroll, and asset accounting.
- Drive month-end and year-end closure processes and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the compilation of statutory financial statements and regulatory submissions.
- Manage audit engagements and ensure readiness for review.
Tax & Corporate Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and coordinate audits with relevant authorities.
- Liaise with group tax teams on complex tax matters and filings.
- Maintain governance standards across all entities in line with legal and shareholder frameworks.
- Implement and monitor accounting policies aligned with regulatory and group requirements.
- Administer insurance coverage in collaboration with group functions.
Systems & Internal Controls
- Safeguard the accuracy and functionality of financial systems and tools.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to reduce risk.
- Enhance operational efficiency through process improvements and automation.
- Support scalable growth by refining accounting workflows and cost management.
Team & Cross-Functional Support
- Lead and mentor the financial controllership team.
- Collaborate with planning and analysis teams to support system upgrades and process changes.
- Assist project finance teams in meeting lender and compliance obligations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Chartered Accountant - CA(SA). Similar Professional Qualification will be considered based on relevant and industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Honors or postgraduate qualification advantageous.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a finance role.
- Strong financial reporting experience.

Remuneration
- R1,200,000 to R1,400,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience.
