The ideal candidate will possess a CA(SA) qualification, a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, and significant experience in financial management, particularly within the healthcare sector. Responsibilities include overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and advising executive leadership. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • CA(SA) qualification essential.
  • Bachelors degree in finance / accounting (or related field).
  • 8-10 years progressive experience in financial management, including 5+ years at a senior or executive level.
  • Healthcare sector experience would be highly beneficial.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, compliance, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership, integrity, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic financial leadership as part of the Executive Committee (EXCO).
  • Lead financial planning, reporting, and budgeting processes.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, debtors / creditors, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare, corporate, tax, and audit requirements.
  • Drive cost management and efficiency without compromising quality of care.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Advise the CEO and Board on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
