Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis: Analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with forecasts and budgets. Develop financial models to support business decisions. Evaluate the financial performance of the department, identifying trends and anomalies. Determine return on investment of various initiatives. Analyse variances across various systems and products and conduct investigations and related remediation.
• Commercial Analysis: Assess market conditions and industry trends. Analyse competitor performance and market positioning. Review and prepare financial viabilities for various strategic initiatives. Assess proposed costs and spending of various projects, including alignment to relevant accounting standards.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management. Present insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Develop and maintain dashboards and performance metrics.
• Other: Work closely with other departments to gather relevant data and insights. Review business processes and identify, opportunities and improvements. Support cross-functional teams with financial analysis and commercial insights.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CA, CFA, are advantageous. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis, or a related role.
• Required Knowledge / Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills. Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis skills. Experience with financial software and business intelligence tools such as Power BI and SQL. Ability to translate financial insights into clear, actionable recommendations. High level of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting. Good understanding of budget, forecasting and viability principles. Strong grasp and understanding of accounting principles and rules.
