Job Description

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Centurion based role
Key Functions of Role, BUT NOT LIMITED TO :
  • Full accounting function
  • Full processing from source documents to trial balance
  • Preparation and processing of monthly journals, salary journals, depreciation journals, Interest on loan accounts etc.
  • General ledger account reconciliations
  • Full Processing of cash book and reconciliation
  • Debtors and Creditors control account reconciliation and processing
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Monthly VAT Calculations and VAT Recons
  • Preparation of Monthly Intercompany Invoices
  • Preparation of Monthly Management Reports and Accounts
  • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements and assist with audit and queries.
  • Calculation of Corporate Income Tax
  • SARS e-filing submission and administration and liaise with SARS for any queries.
  • Manage Loans
  • Manage and prepare monthly costs by Projects.
  • Filing on Annual Returns
  • EMP501 and EMP201
  • IT14 – tax returns
  • Admin Duties
  • Financial Reporting
  • Profit Forecasting
  • Budget Planning and preparation
  • GL Reconciliation
  • Cash Book Management
  • Banking and bank payments
  • Insurance portfolio
  • Costing methodology and principles
Key Competencies & requirements :
  • 3 to 5 Years experience in Financial management
  • BCom Degree in Accounting - COMPULSORY
  • Membership at SAIPA or SAICA
  • Syspro experience will be an added advantage
  • Established proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on Excel
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Availability to work extended hours as per operational requirements
  • Passionate about getting things done right, first time & every time
  • Ability to work efficiently, on own or as part of a team, in a highly pressurized environment
  • Excellent sense of urgency, sound business and financial acumen
  • Costing experience will be an added advantage
