Overview

Our client, a well‑established filling station group, is seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Finance & Retail Analyst to join their finance team at Head Office in Irene. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong analytical and reporting skills who enjoys working in a fast‑paced retail environment and supporting operational decision‑making through accurate financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

  • Analyse daily reporting from multiple retail sites to identify trends, variances, usage, waste, and overall performance
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports with a focus on gross profit margins and operational efficiency
  • Investigate discrepancies and provide recommendations to improve reporting accuracy and financial controls
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding invoices and statements to ensure accurate pricing and reporting
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the Chief Operating Officer
  • Assist the finance team with ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
Minimum Requirements
  • A finance‑related qualification (Diploma or similar)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance, retail analysis, or financial administration role
  • Solid understanding of the retail and sales environment
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Intermediate to Advanced)
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong numerical ability
