Responsible for the accuracy of management reports, budgets and forecasts, and financial planning. To support the business units in analyzing and improving financial results.

Qualification
  • Relevant Post Graduate Degree in Accounting (NQF level 8).
  • Accounting qualification advantageous (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting or related roles.
  • Fund sustainability - Income stream from Trust Interest & Investment income.
  • Develop protocols and controls in conjunction with the Interest Collection Manager.
  • Monitor payments received from the banks and sign-off on monthly accounting entries prepared by the Interest Collection Manager.
  • Maintain data sets and conduct trend analyses to inform budgeting and forecasting.
  • Prepare monthly accounting entries for the various Investment Portfolios.
  • Reconcile investment portfolio reports to the accounting records - monthly.
  • Perform financial planning and analysis.
  • Provide guidance and facilitate the target setting, budget and forecast processes for business units.
  • Prepare performance reporting for monthly and year-to-date results against budget and forecasts and present to the executive team.
  • Support finance and general accounting operations and external reporting.
  • Adhere to reporting deadlines including month end; forecasts; budgets; half-year and year-end.
  • Review / prepare schedule reports for half-year and full-year audits / packs.
  • Review related month-end calculations as well as entries for accruals and provisions.
  • Review monthly tax schedules for accuracy and completeness.
  • Sign-off on month-end processes.
  • Maintain the G/L chart of accounts, and sub-ledgers.
