Overview

Our client a leader in premium hospitality sector is seeking a strategic hands‑on Finance Manager to own the finance function and drive impactful change. If you’re a CIMA‑qualified professional or Chartered Accountant with 57 years post‑articles experience (ideally in property or hospitality) this is your chance to shape financial strategy, optimise cash flow and lead a high‑performing team. Key Responsibilities

Oversee all core finance functions: AP, AR / Revenue, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Procurement and General Ledger.

Lead budgeting, cash flow forecasting and monthly management reporting.

Prepare and present detailed board packs.

Implement robust internal controls across procurement, banking, inventory, payroll, assets and membership.

Manage taxation, annual financial statements, tax computations and review returns.

Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with CIPC, POPIA and CSOS regulations.

Conduct investment appraisals for capital projects and review subcontractor agreements.

Manage insurance processes and claims across multiple entities.

Oversee IT and systems providers, monitor SLAs, mitigate financial and operational risks and drive system enhancements.

Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.

Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 57 years of post‑articles commercial experience, ideally within the property sector
  • Proven leadership capability with a track record of managing teams effectively
  • Strong networking and marketing skills to build relationships and drive brand visibility
  • Solid business acumen with a focus on growth and business development initiatives
  • Relevant Finance or Accounting degree
  • CA(SA) designation or registered with CIMA
