Job description

Hire Resolve's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join their team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. This position requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of financial professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare business activity reports, financial statements, and forecasts.
  • Ensure that financial legal requirements are met.
  • Develop financial reporting systems.
  • Identify ways to reduce or maintain costs by studying financial reports and business processes.
  • Assist management in making financial decisions.
  • Collect, interpret, and review financial information.
  • Report to management and stakeholders, providing advice on how the company and future business decisions might be impacted.
  • Review, monitor, and manage budgets.
  • Develop strategies that work to minimize financial risk.
  • Supervise and assist the finance team.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to support various accounting projects and activities on a daily basis.
  • Provide assistance to prepare financial statements according to company policies.
  • Prepare financial status and analysis reports for the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure that the financial team follows the institution’s policies and regulations.
  • Assist in accounts payable and receivable activities.
  • Prepare the financial system for internal audit.
  • Prepare the financial system for the external annual audit.

Qualifications:
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals to achieve common goals.
  • A minimum qualification of a B.COM or other accounting qualification.
  • CA(SA) status would be a distinct advantage.
  • Ideally Qualified SAIPA Accountant.
