Brits area North West: Our client is looking for a Field Officer to join the team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• BSc Agricultural qualification or similar postgraduate qualifications are essential.
• AVCASA qualification will be advantageous.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in the citrus industry with contactable references is an absolute requirement.
• Must have excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English and be able to maintain good relationships with shareholders, management, colleagues, and suppliers.
• Must be computer literate in MS Word and Excel.
• Must be healthy and able to perform physical, job-related work.
• Knowledge of pest and disease control chemicals, international market requirements, pest and disease control of citrus, fertilization, and irrigation of citrus.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1. Conduct daily farm visits and provide shareholders with guidance in irrigation, fertilizer planning, pest and disease management, etc.
2. Assist shareholders in completing required documentation.
3. Take soil and leaf samples for analysis and recommendations.
4. Conduct farm audits.
5. Assist management with additional tasks as required.
6. Apply the Company’s Food and Safety Standards and requirements consistently.
