Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking a Field Engineer to respond to system failures, support project implementations, and execute planned maintenance. The ideal candidate is self-driven with technical expertise in water treatment and capable of working independently under pressure. Salary ranges from R360,000 to R420,000 annually with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Self-driven and capable of working independently in remote or high-pressure environments.
• Technical experience in water treatment, irrigation or similar.
• Computer literate with proficiency in spreadsheets and reporting tools.
• Willing and able to travel extensively; valid passport and driver’s license required.
• Need to have your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Rapid response to system failures and technical issues on-site.
• Support installations, commissioning and testing of purification systems.
• Execute scheduled servicing to ensure system reliability.
• Assist with BOQs, quotations and maintain accurate technical records.
• Participate in planning sessions and contribute to engineering operations.

• Unplanned Maintenance & Breakdowns: Rapid response to system failures and technical issues on‑site
• Project Implementation: Support installations, commissioning and testing of purification systems
• Planned Maintenance: Execute scheduled servicing to ensure system reliability
• Project Planning & Documentation: Assist with BOQs, quotations and maintain accurate technical records
• Team Collaboration: Participate in planning sessions and contribute to engineering operations
