About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail‑oriented and proactive Export Operations Assistant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting daily export operations, maintaining system accuracy, and ensuring smooth communication between internal teams, producers, and clients.

This position requires someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, seasonal work environment and can balance accuracy, initiative, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update daily exchange rates for USD, CAD, GBP, and EUR on QX
  • File completed PLG packages and maintain accurate records
  • Update shipment dates on QX using Producer Ally shipment reports
  • Run “Producer per setup” report and notify Finance once updated
  • Save and manage shipment reports under BI Reports
  • Maintain and update codes on QX (vessels, packing codes, varieties, producers, consignees, payment terms, etc.)
  • Request outstanding loading documents from Producer Ally and loading point facilities
  • Request Loaded on Board (L.O.B.) status to proceed with invoicing consignees
  • Perform any additional operational support tasks as required
Requirements
  • Grade 12 / Matric (a tertiary qualification in Logistics, Agriculture or Business will be advantageous)
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role within an export company
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent computer literacy (especially MS Excel and MS Office )
  • Comfortable working in fast‑paced, seasonal work cycles
  • Experience with EDI / export systems will be advantageous
