Senior Legal Consultant
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide sound legal advice to clients and assist the Legal Manager in fulfilling duties and managing complex commercial litigation matters.
  • Use strong contract negotiation skills; vet and draft commercial agreements; draft policy; prepare reports and memorandums.
  • Act as functional expert, providing legal advice, dispute resolution, handling supply‑chain and confidentiality agreements, commodity sale agreements, and policy drafting.
  • Demonstrate experience in mergers & acquisitions.
  • Deliver quality work on governance matters, advising supply‑chain, marketing, and logistics environments; provide internal and external training; draft correspondence, pleadings, and contracts using sound principles; attend meetings; provide input when required.
  • Identify new business opportunities, contribute to company publications; perform administrative tasks, manage emails, time sheets, travel, claims, and filing of correspondence and reference materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships and have exposure to environmental, property, and mining law.
Requirements
  • Degree in law (LLB); preferably a Master’s degree in Commercial Law or International Trade Law.
  • Experience or exposure to mining companies; admitted as an attorney or advocate.
  • Typically more than 8 years of relevant experience.
