Job description

Responsibilities

• Monitor machine health through EM solutions
• Ensure that undercarriage component forecasting management is in place and carried out timeously
• Conduct machine inspections on earthmoving equipment as required
• Ensure that operational abuse is kept to a minimum and that machines are operated to their full capabilities
• Perform Machine Inspections and Undercarriage Management
• GET wear analysis Blade / Bucket and compile reports
• Machine operator and application evaluation
• Site severity analysis
• Inspection conversion to quote and quote conversion to order
• Undercarriage Management / Wear trend analysis
• Machine downloads and Reports on downloaded events
• Manage the undercarriage replacements on the Caterpillar Horizon program
• Inspection conversion to quote and quote conversion to order

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

• Qualified diesel / earthmoving equipment mechanic (or equivalent qualification)
• Three years Caterpillar experience as a mechanic
• Computer literate (MS Office, CAT Software)
• Sound business communication skills
• Sound technical knowledge of product brands
• Must have strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
