Overview

Job Title: Environmental Scientist – Consulting Industry

Location: Westville, KZN

Responsibilities
  • Project management of environmental assessment and monitoring projects
  • Develop proposal documents and budgets
  • Prepare all reports that are applicable to Applications for Environmental Authorisations and
  • Water Use Licence Applications
  • Conducting risk assessments and providing recommendations for mitigation strategies
  • Producing detailed reports on findings and recommendations
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met
Requirements
  • BSc Honours in Environmental Management or related field
  • Master’s degree in Environmental Management in advantageous
  • Registration with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA) is mandatory
  • Registration with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) is mandatory
  • At least 3 to 5 years of consulting experience
  • Excellent communication and client liaison abilities
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and legislation
  • Experience with mining projects will be advantageous
