Job description

Vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse Specialised, based at Life Groenkloof Hospital, reporting to the Unit Manager in the SICU Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring delivery of uncompromising quality care in line with company strategic objectives and applicable Health /Nursing legislation.

Critical Outputs

• Conduct basic duties as allocated by the Unit Manager.
• Ensure that the unit is run according to acceptable legal standards.
• Maintain excellent individualized patient and customer care in accordance with Life Healthcare standards.
• Maintain sound relationships and communication with patients, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.
• Build professional relationships with doctors and therapists to promote patient-doctor interaction.
• Adhere to all Health, Safety and Infection Control Standards.
• Proactively ensure patient safety.
• Always portray a professional attitude towards patients, visitors, doctors and fellow staff members.

Requirements

• Qualification as an Enrolled Nurse
• Experience in Intensive Care is advantageous.
• Registration with SANC
• Ability to work shifts according to the operational requirements of the hospital
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
• Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
